Studies suggest that around 50 of women on the combined pill get pregnant within 3 months of stopping the pill while most of the others get pregnant within 12 months. The first sign that you are ovulating is when you get a menstrual period an indication that things are going back to normal. Ovulation cycles post pill most women begin to ovulate again within two weeks of stopping the pill which is a sign that you are now able to get pregnant again. It is theorized that if you conceive shortly after you stop using birth control pills your chances of having twins increases. When they re discontinued it s thought that the ovaries may superovulate releasing more than one egg in a cycle and increasing the opportunity to conceive.
